Hopefully by now, you’ve gotten a sense of my professional achievements (and are thinking about how I can help your organization!). Hopefully, you’ve recognized that I’m an accomplished, highly adaptable, resourceful, collaborative leader. Hopefully, you can see that I’ve been a catalyst for improvement and success by repeatedly delivering the vision, strategy, innovation, leadership, and execution to deliver meaningful business results.  

Perhaps by now you’d like to know more about what’s shaped me into this person.

Well, I have a passion for adventure and a love for animals. From a young age, I learned the value of hard work and dedication through my commitment to riding and showing horses. This instilled attributes that I carry with me to this day – including discipline, determination, collaboration, problem solving, sportsmanship, and humility. In addition to my farm chores, I also started volunteering when I was 10 years old and was expected to maintain excellent grades and extracurriculars. 

This set me up to be someone who constantly strives for excellence, raises the bar for myself, and is never satisfied with status quo. One such example is that I was the first person in my region to take college classes during my senior year of high school. After having a few courses under my belt when I graduated high school, I was able to complete my Bachelor’s and Master’s in a combined total of just three years. 

Starting my career in public relations and crisis communications, I had to both promote and protect my business and brands – and I had to reach my target audience through the lens of the media. I also had to maintain poise and communicate clearly and effectively under even the most tense and high pressure situations. All of this required me to garner a deeper understanding of both human motivations and behaviors as well as media nuances while I worked to earn positive media exposure. I believe having roots in PR and earned media ultimately gave me a unique perspective as I evolved into paid and owned media – and is part of the reason that I deliver such a strong ROI on my marketing campaigns. To this day, I am diligent about my content/creative. I utilize consumer insights and platform/channel best practices to ensure my content will appeal to the consumer mindset and feels endemic to that space.  

As the consummate professional, I maintain my composure and think quickly under pressure. But, despite my polished and collected exterior, I love a good adventure! My outlet is in the great outdoors – I enjoy hiking or walking my dogs, boating, golfing or just about anything that lets me enjoy sunshine and fresh air. I am also an avid traveler and love to experience a good adventure! People are often surprised by my adventurous side, but I think it brings balance to my professional life and to the part of the journey that’s dedicated to researching and planning – which I enjoy doing entirely on my own too. I love to see and experience the world in unique and exciting ways with my husband by my side. Some of my favorite adventures to date include climbing Mount Vesuvius and seeing the remains of Pompeii, scuba diving with sharks, taking a night dive with manta rays, paragliding, and rappelling over waterfalls… all of this, of course, is balanced with visits to museums, seeing incredible ruins, and enjoying beautiful and serene beaches!  

My fondness for animals is evident in my explorations – as I often find ways to interact with unusual and exotic ones, but even more so, it’s clear in my love for my Great Danes – my four-legged children. I believe that taking care of animals and striving to train them (whether that’s horses, dogs, or something more exotic) heightens one’s EQ with humans and just makes you a better person overall. 

So, in a nutshell, I am extremely career-oriented, with hard work, high-achievement, versatility, determination, forward-thinking, and empowerment of others all deeply engrained in me. I balance my calculated and analytically-driven approach to marketing with my personal passion for travels, exploration, and adventures. I love my family (including my fur-babies) deeply.
